How Kabodler is helping The Magic Wand Appeal

Hi,

Kabodler is proud to announce that it is supporting The Magic Wand Appeal.

The Magic Wand Appeal is raising funds to improve facilities and the environment in the children’s unit at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester (part of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust). The funds raised are specifically for this and not for care, drugs, nursing or staffing costs.
The aim of the proposed unit is to minimise the inevitable trauma experienced by a family when a child is admitted to hospital.
To find out more about this Charity go to http://www.hampshirehospitals.nhs.uk/about-us/fundraising/the-magic-wand-appeal/.

The Magic Wand Appeal is using Kabodler to sell tickets to their charity events and providing their attendees with a PDF of information about the appeal attached to every ticket.
The charity is also using Kabodler's Campaign Facility to build a mailing list. They are printing a Kabodler generic QR code on their flyers and posters, gathering specific information from anyone who scans the code and giving the patron a PDF of information about the appeal and how to donate. This allows the charity to build a mailing list and find out the interests of the patrons so they can notify people about The Magic Wand Appeal's upcoming events.

How to donate:

Kabodler is delighted that its platform can help such a worthy cause.

Yours,
The Kabodler Team

The African Children's Choir appear on "Sing" by Gary Barlow and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber

Hi,

Kabodler is proud to announce that the African Children's Choir are featured on the official song for Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee created by Gary Barlow and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The African Children's Choir were one of the first to use Kabodler to sell tickets to their concert in West Meon, Hampshire in November 2010. They sold all their tickets using Kabodler pre public BETA and ticket holders were scanned into the event using the Kabodler Door Android App, this was the first time that Kabodler had been used.

The African Children’s Choir travels the world, acting as the ambassador for Africa’s most vulnerable children. Their goal, to raise awareness and show that despite the desolate circumstances they come from, they have beauty, dignity, hope and unlimited potential. The Choir is just one program operated by Music for Life Institute.
Music for Life Institute (MFL) is committed to ensuring that the children in the Choir, and thousands of others in Africa, receive love, care, and a quality education that will change their lives.
With programs in Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, and Rwanda, and supporting programs in Southern Sudan, Music for Life is “helping Africa’s most vulnerable children today, so they can help Africa tomorrow.”

Congratulations to The African Children's Choir!

Top Tip 3 - Media and Promotions

Hi,

It's Friday! Below you will find Kabodler's 3rd Top Tip.

Top Tip Number 3:

Attaching media and promotions to your tickets:-

Not only can you use Kabodler to sell tickets to your event but Kabodler's tickets are "smart" tickets. This means they are loaded with the ability for you to attach media and promotions.
Whether you decide to attach media and/or promotions or not your tickets will alway cost you 20p and no more.

By attaching media or promotions to your tickets it doesn't mean you have to give tracks and t-shirts away for free just include the media and/or promotion in your ticket price. This means when you sell a ticket on Kabodler you have also sold a download!

By attaching media and/or promotions you can give or inlcude something a little extra to those people attending your event.

Promotions:

You can attach any kind of physical promotion to your tickets by selecting the ticket type in your event screen and filling in the information under free gift. You could attach promotions such as a t-shirt, a CD, a beer or a burger and you can either make this free or include the price of this promotion in your ticket price.
When the QR code on this ticket is scanned using the Kabodler Door App at any time or place during your event this promotion can be redeemed.

N.B. make sure you tick the check box beneath free gift for your promotion to be attached to your tickets.

Media:

To attach media to your ticket you must first upload your media in the downloads section on the left hand side menu of your Kabodler seller account. You can attach all kinds of media a track, audio, a video, an e-book or even a PDF (a single upload must be 10MB or less).
To attach this uploaded media to your ticket select the ticket type in your event screen and fill in the information below free download. You can either make this download free or include it in your ticket price.
When this ticket is bought the purchaser will receive your media immediately in their Kabodler wallet available for them to download for up to 7 days.

N.B. Make sure you tick the check box beneath free download for your media to be attached to your tickets.

Give or include something extra with your tickets, attach media and promotions to your tickets for no extra costs using Kabodler.

The Kabodler Team

Top Tip 2 - Give Free Tickets

Hi,

It's Friday so below is the second Top Tip from the Kabodler Team.

Top Tip Number 2:

Kabodler's Free Invitation-only events:-

Did you know that Kabodler is FREE to use for invitation-only events.

If you are organising a free-to-attend business conference, gig, show, party or event you can use Kabodler to distribute tickets for free allowing you the organiser to find out how many people have accepted your invitation.

There are three different ways of giving away free tickets:
  1. Give tickets - you can give free tickets to any existing Kabodler users by entering their email address(es) and a personal message. The ticket(s) will be instantly emailed to the specified user(s), and will also appear in their wallet.
  2. Offer Tickets - you can offer free tickets to any email address (whether a Kabodler user or not) by entering their email address(es) and a personal message. These users will have to login (or signup) to Kabodler to claim their ticket before the expiry date. After the expiry date, the ticket will return to your pool of available tickets, and the user will not be able to redeem any offers.
  3. Coupons - you can offer tickets by creating a set of unique redemption codes which you then distribute as you wish. Patrons who scan these codes have to login (or signup) to Kabodler to claim their free ticket before the expiry date. Each code can only be redeemed once. Click download vouchers next to your offered tickets and distribute these vouchers for a customer or fan to scan and receive the free ticket.
By offering or making coupons out of your free tickets the patron will have to log in (or signup) to Kabodler to claim their tickets giving you the organiser an accurate report of how many people are going to attend your event.
By logging into your Kabodler seller account you can view live statistics and reporting on your invitation-only event and discover how many people have accepted or rejected your invite.

The next time you are organising an invitation-only free-to-attend event do it with Kabodler.

The Kabodler Team

Top Tip 1 - How to use Kabodler's Campaign Facility

Hi,

Today is Friday the 4th of May and Kabodler is 3 years old.

Happy Birthday Kabodler!

Today we introduce our new regular feature, Top Tips on how to get the most out of Kabodler.

Top Tip Number 1:

How to use Kabodler's Campaign facility:-

Kabodler allows you to start a campaign around a band, brand or product by using QR codes, these harvest valuable data from custom data fields that you create all whilst delivering media or promotions that you have made available.

Scan this QR code to discover how you can give away media whilst collecting useful data.
The first 100 people to scan this code will get a free download.

There are 4 different ways of using QR codes in a Kabodler Campaign:
  1. Distribute vouchers with a generic QR code and promotion code - In the “free offer/voucher type” tab you have the option to give away your vouchers with Kabodler generating a promotion code and generic QR code for this voucher. By distributing this promotion code or QR code on or offline you can give away your promotion/s and collect data using the custom fields you created. You may print this QR code as many times as you like and control your spend by limiting the amount of redemptions you make available in your allocation field. Anyone who types this promotion code into Kabodler or scans this QR code will be required to fill in any mandatory custom fields to receive the free promotional gift. A single email address will only be able to redeem the promotion once.
  2. Distribute coupons (unique QR codes) -  In the “Coupons” tab you can offer your vouchers by creating a set of unique redemption codes which you may then distribute as you wish. People who scan these codes have to login (or signup) to kabodler to claim their gift/reward before the expiry date. Each code can only be redeemed once. Select the voucher you wish to offer, an expiry date and an offer name and click offer. Click download QR codes and distribute these vouchers for a customer or fan to scan , they will have to fill in any mandatory custom fields in order to receive the free promotional gift.
  3. Offer vouchers -  In the “offer vouchers” tab you may offer your free promotional gift to any email address (whether a kabodler user or not) by entering their email address(es) and a message. These users will have to login (or signup) to kabodler to claim their gift before the expiry date. The patron will be asked to fill in any mandatory custom fields to claim the free offer. After the expiry date, the voucher will return to the pool of available vouchers, and the user will not be able to redeem the offer.
  4. Give vouchers - In the “give vouchers” tab you may give vouchers to existing kabodler users by entering their email address(es) and a message. The free gift will be instantly emailed to the specified user(s), and will appear in their wallets.
